Paumachia 26:35

Created using a self-developed expanded instrument system in Max/Msp in conjunction with hardware synthesizers and acoustic guitar. The max patch analyzes incoming audio by roughly determining the fundamental frequency which then triggers additively synthesized notes and chords partly at random and partly in accordance with specified pitch ranges that relate to the detected input frequency. The signal then goes into a lengthy series of delay lines and algorithmic reverbs, whose parameters are changed at random by a hardware device, creating a flow of ever-shifting tones, chords, and textures as audio is fed into the patch.
The piece presented here is an edit from two long sessions.
