“The cloud lay in the depths of its own being. Just like
the river, the cloud was grounded in water. The cloud was
made of water. So why, the river thought, do I need to run after the cloud? I only need to run after the cloud if I am not the cloud.”

The blue emptiness. The lap of earth touches the clear vault of sky.

Here we find heat colliding with pockets of brisk air. Here we find one walking through foreign streets, aimlessly, accomplishing nothing. Going nowhere. Sitting is good for nothing and so is walking.

Lens flare. An attempt to grasp smeared by imperfect device.

Here we find one holding tightly. Put the hand in the water. “Now what?” “I Hear it now. Can’t be silence...or...”

Solace or solitude. The interior is humming and I’m humming inside, inaudibly.

Here it bursts forth. Containment is no longer sustainable. The entirety of their body, including earth and sky, is drenched. What it feels like to live in silence. Only this. “This was never picked up.”

Wet ground after heavy rain. Sinking deeper. Seasonal shifting.

“There is nothing left to say and I am saying it.” The clouds and rivers are no longer clouds and rivers. But, then they complete the sentence in my mind.
