Album's review:

On Christmas Eve of 2021 I came down with a case of covid. One day during the subsequent week, after some of my energy had returned, I recorded some lazy-handed synthesizer improvisations to a seemingly blank cassette tape I had found at a thrift store a month back. The next day I was listening back and discovered that the flip side of the tape was not blank and that it contained a room recording of a piano/organ duo’s rehearsal. I’m not sure who the group was or what the piece was that they were rehearsing, but I was drawn to the somber tone of several of the phrases that were being repeated by the group to hone in on. I could feel a heavy blues washing through the notes and melodies. I fed the tape through my pedal-fx chain and made loops that I then improvised with in real-time while recording back to another cassette tape. This album is the result of that session. Recorded in a dazed and drained state. A hazy focal point for weary minds. A slow-dance record.
