"The sun bestows all life function with its overwhelming amount of energy. We benefit greatly from the sun, but we can't 'hear' its power like we can from rain or thunder. The light against the barn door, the atmosphere refracted by heat, a symbol of life. By turning our attention to the stories woven by the taciturn sun, which we can never "hear," and expressing them in music, we can become aware of the gifts we receive every day as a matter of course."
